Business Superbrands Council 2008/2009 Announced

01 May 2008

Andrew Pinkess, Strategy Director at Rufus Leonard has been appointed to the Business Superbrands Council for the second year running.

Following the success and growing recognition of the ‘Business Superbrand’ awards Andrew was once again asked to sit on the Business Superbrands Council amongst other leading brand experts and professionals.

The Business Superbrands Council will begin work now with the result announced in February 2009.

Independent researchers first compile a list of the UK’s leading B2B brands. From the thousands of brands initially considered, a list of 1,100 brands is forwarded to the Business Superbrands Council.  The Council considers the list and members award each a score from 1-10. Half of the lowest scoring brands are eliminated at this stage.

A panel of approximately 1,500 individual business professionals are then asked to vote on the surviving 700 brands.

The remaining brands are ranked based on the combined score of the Business Superbrands Council and the panel of business professionals. The leading 500 brands are awarded ‘Business Superbrand’ status and are invited to join the Business Superbrands programme.

Andrew was chosen for the position based on his 20 years experience in brand and marketing consultancy. His specialisms include: brand strategy and development; digital strategy; integrated communications; and internal communications. His client experience spans business to business, business to consumer and the public sector. He joined brand and digital media consultancy Rufus Leonard in 1998. Andrew is an Oxford graduate with an MBA from Warwick University.
