Rufus Leonard sponsor carbon disclosure project
16 February 2003
Caring for the environment and preserving our planet for future generations is becoming an increasingly important issue among Britons, with many choosing to buy products and services only from those corporations that have adopted sound environmental policies.
A company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) position plays an important part in creating and maintaining brand equity. As a leading brand development consultancy, Rufus Leonard was keen to discover exactly how a company's CSR position - specifically in relation to carbon emissions - will impact on their brand equity.
Rufus Leonard is one of three sponsors behind the 'Carbon Disclosure Project', launched on 17 February at London's Guildhall, to an audience of 200 investors, analysts and corporate executives. The event was supported by the Prime Minister Tony Blair, who sent a letter of encouragement, and by Derek Higgs, author of the recent government backed report on Corporate Governance, who gave the keynote address.
