Stopgap recruits Rufus Leonard
21 January 2003
Stopgap, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of freelance and permanent marketing staff, has appointed Rufus Leonard to interpret its brand in the creation of a new website. It will be the company’s first foray into job advertising online which is due to launch at the end of February 2003.
Until now, Stopgap’s web site has only offered a client and candidate registration facility. The launch of the new website will now include jobs online, as well as additional functionality such as client online briefing. The site will set itself apart from those of other recruitment companies, with black and white imagery used throughout and a humorous and down-to-earth tone of voice reflecting their upbeat personality.
From a technical perspective, Rufus Leonard will be employing Goss technology to provide the Content Management System. This will allow Stopgap to link the site to its own database and update jobs, as well as other sections, easily as an in-house function, therefore making it a cost effective site to maintain.
Rufus Leonard is a leading brand development consultancy, with particular expertise in the digital environment. It has previously worked with Stopgap on an email viral project to coincide with the launch of Stopgap’s permanent job service in the autumn of 2002. This entailed close liaison between Rufus Leonard and Stopgap to create the content of the email, followed by the distribution of the email to Stopgap’s database of registered candidates and clients.
Claire Owen, speaking of the decision to appoint Rufus Leonard to design and build the website, stated:
“Having worked with Rufus Leonard on an email project, I am familiar with their creativity and commitment to the brand. I have every confidence that Rufus’ expertise in branding in the digital market, coupled with their creativity and technical know-how, will produce a website that Stopgap and its clients and candidates can be proud of.”
Andrew Pinkess, Strategy Director at Rufus Leonard, adds:
“Stopgap is one of the leading recruitment companies of its kind so we are delighted to be so heavily involved in taking their online offer to the next level. Having already completed an extensive email campaign we are now demonstrating our digital branding expertise further with the design and build of their new website. It is always encouraging to be appointed by well-known brands - to have our remit extended demonstrates our strength in the digital branding environment.”
