Rufus Leonard hits the catwalk at this year's London fashion week

15 September 2004

Fashion designer Tristan Webber this week reveals a new visual identity at his Spring/Summer 2005 collection during London Fashion Week 2004 - created by leading brand development consultancy, Rufus Leonard.

The new identity will be revealed at his 14th collection and will be visible to Londoners at large via a campaign that will use central London buses to promote the international event.

Tristan Webber’s first show was in 1998 after graduating from Central Saint Martins, London. He is now one of the capital's leading designers. He has an international client base and collaborates with several luxury brand names including Osprey, Jimmy Choo and Philip Hockley. His high profile clients include Zadie Smith and Beyoncé.

Rufus Leonard was appointed in 2004 through a direct introduction. The team at Rufus Leonard was briefed to review the Tristan Webber brand within its marketplace and create a new, distinct identity; one that would place the company on a visual par with its contemporaries and support any future expansion of the brand.

In response, Rufus Leonard has created a new visual identity that captures the classic craftsmanship and modern influences intrinsic to all Tristan Webber couture and ready-to-wear collections and products.

The new identity will be unveiled this week at London Fashion Week 2004, with further rollout planned for the coming months.  In addition, Rufus Leonard will be working with Tristan Webber on a number of other exciting projects over the next year.

Andrew Fleming, Creative Director at Rufus Leonard comments:
‘It has been incredibly rewarding to work with Tristan on the creation of his new visual identity. His involvement with, and understanding of, the process we go through to create an identity is testament to his own craft. The opportunity to create an identity for a company within the luxury fashion business is rare, especially one so young and just makes it all the more rewarding.’

Tristan Webber adds:
‘I am delighted with our new identity. To have Rufus Leonard interpret it with such objectivity and freshness of vision was so important for us at this stage in the company’s development. I feel proud that the new identity will be a part of the launch for our Spring/Summer collection.’
