Rufus Leonard teams up with the Wellcome Trust on human genome website project
20 July 2004
Rufus Leonard’s expertise in research recently helped the company win a pitch to work with the Wellcome Trust on a review of its Human Genome microsite. The team at Rufus Leonard is excited to be working with the Trust again having completed a successful review of the Trust’s website in July 2001 and the subsequent recommendation of its website resourcing.
The Human Genome website [http://www.wellcome.ac.uk/genome] aims to provide accessible, balanced, up-to-date and authoritative information on the scientific issues behind the translation of the genome to healthcare benefits, and the medical, social, legal and ethical implications of these advances. The Wellcome Trust, the UK's largest medical research charity, produces the site as part of its commitment to raising awareness of key scientific issues and their likely impact on people and society.
The challenge for Rufus Leonard now is to examine and evaluate the Human Genome website and to determine how well it meets the needs of its users. The outcome will help to establish an appropriate strategic direction for the resource.
