Rufus Leonard backs UK launch of new video phone

13 May 2004

Are you hassled by too much travel-time and not enough work-time? Or worried about the impact of climate change on the environment and the economy? Should your company be doing more to act responsibly and so enhance its own brand reputation?

If the answer to any of the above is yes, then you would be interested in an inexpensive video-telephone, providing TV quality Eye-to-Eye contact, which was demonstrated for the first time in the UK last night, at the Rufus Leonard offices in Farringdon.

This event, jointly sponsored by EyeNetwork, Europe's largest videoconference service, forms part of Rufus Leonard's growing programme of initiatives in the area of business responsibility. The inventor of the device Eckart Wintzen, spoke to the meeting from Holland, to explain the benefits of the new system, which offers the potential to reduce business and personal travel and therefore carbon emissions. Organic drinks and canapes were served, provided by Organic Express. Guests in attendance included representatives from some of the UK's largest corporations.
