Rufus Leonard designs millenium commission

BRAND REPUBLIC - 01 December 2004

Digital and design agency Rufus Leonard has created two new sites backing the Millennium Commission, which was set up to distribute proceeds from the National Lottery.

The first site, Millennium.gov.uk, explains how National Lottery money has been invested in projects such as the Tate Modern in London, the Eden Project in Cornwall and Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

It gives information on visiting the sites, and allows people to search for projects by region, type of attraction or postcode.

Features added by Rufus Leonard include e-postcards, an updated news section and a section that allows people to apply online for Millennium Awards.

The second site, Starpeople.org.uk, is dedicated to the Millennium Awards Fellowship, as a tool for people who have won awards. It will allow winners to build their own web page so that they can tell the world about their achievements.

Todd Brown, IT director at Rufus Leonard, said: "Rufus Leonard is continuing to successfully grow its public sector portfolio and is delighted to launch these two sites, which demonstrate our expertise in this area."
