Rufus Leonard repositions Parcelforce worldwide online

BRAND REPUBLIC - 30 March 2004

Brand development consultancy Rufus Leonard has redeveloped Parcelforce Worldwide's website as part of an effort to reduce costs and extend the site's reach.

The online revamp follows a business restructure within the Royal Mail-owned parcelforce business that aimed to bolster its position as one of the UK's leading top express delivery services.

The revamp to the site sees the introduction of enhanced parcel tracking features that now enables customers to order collections online. Customers can also use it to receive online invoices, check their service reports, order supplies and print labels online, as well as arrange redeliveries.

Brian Hardie, head of brand and promotions at parcelforce Worldwide, said: "At parcelforce Worldwide we want to champion customer satisfaction and in doing so charge ahead of our competitors. The team at Rufus Leonard has demonstrated an exceptional ability to interpret our needs to meet this goal and has produced a site that is cost effective yet world class all at the same time."

The consultancy has improved site signposting and functionality and will continue to work with Parcel Force to develop new ways for customers to interact with the company online.

Susan Costello, innovations director at Rufus Leonard, said: "We enjoy the challenge of working with clients who strive to be the best in their sector and believe our extranet will help parcelforce Worldwide drive forward ahead of its competitors."
