Rufus Leonard gets legal with Bircham Dyson Bell - CMS introduced to site for the first time

14 February 2005

Central London law firm Bircham Dyson Bell this week unveils a brand new website, evolving its online presence to a new level of functionality and style.

Designed and built by leading brand and digital agency, Rufus Leonard, the site has taken on a much fresher look and feel, with a navigation system focussed with the audience in mind. The site also incorporates a Content Management System (CMS) which will allow administrators throughout the firm to update site content in real-time.

Rufus Leonard was appointed in April 2004, following a competitive pitch, on the back of its strong creative ideas and design layouts. The team and Bircham Dyson Bell then worked together to evolve the firm’s website, bearing in mind research Rufus Leonard had conducted that highlighted how some legal firms did not consider their online brand expression a priority.

The new results can be seen as soon as the user clicks on to the website; its improved design and functionality is reflected on the home page, where visitors are given the option to go through the site according to their perspective – whether they are a charity, in the public sector, an individual or a business. From there on, the services are tailored to each sector throughout the site.

Talking of the project, Marianne Hope, Account Director at Rufus Leonard comments:
'In 2003 we conducted benchmarking research that showed legal firms were trailing behind their professional services peers when it came to creating an informative and impactful online presence.  It has therefore been very satisfying to work with Bircham Dyson Bell to revamp their website in to a resource that presents their offering to their key audiences of graduates, clients and other solicitors in a much more appealing way.'

Paula Fagan, Marketing Manager at Bircham Dyson Bell, adds:
'In line with other firm-wide marketing initiatives, we were keen to update our website, reflecting the growing stature and strength of the firm.  After speaking to the team at Rufus Leonard, they were the best agency to help us achieve this.  We felt that their understanding of our business and communication needs, coupled with their extensive experience in providing digital communications solutions to professional services companies, made them the ideal choice to meet our needs.  Needless to say, we are delighted with the new site.'

The website (which can be found at www.bdb-law.co.uk) has recently been shortlisted for “Best Website” award for In Brief’s 2005 LEMAS Awards.
