Rufus Leonard to create new company identity
09 December 2005
mymarket.com, the UK’s foremost electronic marketplace for the hospitality industry and 3663 Client Purchasing, part of the UK’s leading food service company, have appointed Rufus Leonard to help create a business which could change the face of procurement in the food service industry, worldwide.
Rufus Leonard has been briefed to create an identity for a new trading entity that will oversee diagnostics, strategy, planning and delivery for the hospitality industry. As such it will be the first time the complete procurement cycle in the food service industry can be supported by one company. This will enable the new business to take a far more consultative approach to its client relationships, offering expertise and advice, along with significant cost savings, thanks to economies of scale. The new company aims to be a £1billion company within four years and will initially operate in Europe.
Rufus Leonard is working with the businesses to help identify and define the marketplace and therefore the core positioning and proposition for the new entity. It was Rufus Leonard’s consultative approach and genuine understanding of the industry which won them the business, following a three way competitive pitch.
Starting work immediately Rufus Leonard will begin by undertaking a consultation period, at the end of which the new company will be named. The aim is to have a complete company ID in place, along with the full range of brand materials, ready for launch at Hotelympia trade fair at Excel on 19 February 2006.
Chris Wills, Client Partner at Rufus Leonard, said: “We are incredibly excited about working with both mymarket.com and 3663 client services. The combination of which will change the face of the food service industry.”
Nicola Knight, Head of Marketing said: “Having seen MyMarket.com and 3663 grow so successfully we identified an opportunity in the market to create a new umbrella company. The brand and market experience which Rufus Leonard demonstrated made them the natural choice for the job.”
