Rufus Leonard helps O2 launch new Blackberry microsite

10 July 2006

Rufus Leonard, the leading brand and digital agency, has redesigned and updated O2’s BlackBerry microsite (www.o2.co.uk/blackberry) to support the launch of its new Blackberry 7130g.

O2, the leading provider of mobile services to consumers and businesses in the UK, have seen a massive take up of its BlackBerry handheld PDA and email devices by business and corporate users in recent years. Now they hope to open up their market to new audiences with the launch of the Blackberry 7130g, whose smaller, thinner, lighter handset appeals to mobile SoHo (Small office and home office) professional consumers who need to access to calls, texts, email, web and business applications on the move.

Rufus Leonard have redesigned O2’s microsite with a new on brand look and feel. The site has also been restructured, providing easier access and improved navigation for users, as well as updated content and information. A flash demo for the new 7130g has been built and details of O2’s range of Blackberry devices include features, applications and pricing, as well as case studies of the Blackberry in action.

Susan Costello, Client Partner at Rufus Leonard said: "It’s exciting to be an integral part of the ongoing BlackBerry success story and we’re confident that there’s more to come."

Previously Rufus Leonard has been contracted to undertake a number of campaigns on behalf of O2, including creating the i-mode site (www.o2.co.uk/imode), as well as designing and developing an online music portal (www.o2.co.uk/music) and the award-winning corporate website (www.o2.com).
