Sales site
The brief
O2 wanted to tighten overall sales performance and reduce costs by replacing its three existing online sales channels with a single tool. This tool was designed to improve communications between the sales directorate and the sales and retail people and give day to day information on products, services and news.
Our approach
Rufus Leonard rationalised the three existing sites and used the content to create an extranet, supported with an advanced, easy to use CMS. We built in to this application a broad range of personalisation features, so that the different user groups would receive only the most appropriate and useful information – all from the same database. Rufus Leonard also designed and delivered the site’s CMS training packages. We have also built an additional site feature which gives sales managers a direct link to account information, showing trends and suggesting likely sales.
The value
The extranet supports the Sales and Marketing effort proactively and efficiently. Since the launch, O2 has reported annual cost savings and improved its sales performance by 8%. Around 10,000 UK O2 product and service vendors use the site.
