Rufus Leonard website

London Business School

Bigger Vision - Strategy and Research

The brief
The School wanted to create a website that would mirror its global brand and vision and meet the demands of its worldwide audience.  The communications team and key stakeholder groups wanted their online presence to do justice to the School’s pre-eminent reputation whilst also acting as a practical tool for recruiting new students and executive participants as well as a range of other target audiences including recruiters, media etc.

Our approach
London Business School appointed Rufus Leonard to help them in this process. The project spanned full website design and build, but also included providing strategic advice in three important areas:

  1. Understanding stakeholder needs and business priorities through a series of interviews and workshops.

  2. Reviewing technical and content management requirements, and advising on the selection of a content management system.

  3. Evaluating ways of working and organisational structures for managing content, and recommending a more streamlined approach.

The value
These work modules formed an integral part of the successful relaunch of the London Business School website. The stakeholder consultation ensured a high degree of consensus on the design of the new site. The new content management system has made the site more usable and the revised ways of working have eliminated many of the previous bottlenecks to ensure content is now topical and relevant to the School’s valued audiences.
